A Little About Me and What Inspires Me

Hello, I’m Amelia Carrie, an artist, sculptor, poet, designer, writer, and lifelong creator who believes each of us has something beautiful to contribute to the world.

My creative work takes many forms: meaningful gifts, original sculptures, poetry, books, artwork, and websites that help people find encouragement and connection. The thread running through it all is love. I want the things I create to bring a smile, honor a memory, offer comfort, inspire courage, or remind someone that they matter.

A Life Built Around Creativity

I have always been curious about what might be possible. Over the years, I have created artwork, designed personalized products, written books and poems, built websites, started online stores, taught, volunteered, invested in real estate, and found new ways to turn ideas into something useful.

Many of my projects begin with a simple thought: Could this make someone’s life a little happier, easier, more meaningful, or more hopeful? That question has led me in many directions. Some of my projects are creative stores filled with personalized gifts. Others are online spaces created to offer comfort, encouragement, ideas, or a sense of belonging.

The Heart Behind My Projects

I created Memorial Gift Shop to offer comforting keepsakes and personalized gifts for people remembering someone they love. I created Ageless Hearts because everyone deserves to feel loved and remembered at every age. I created Chances.org to encourage people to believe in themselves and take the chances that can lead to positive change. I created Cheap101.com to celebrate resourcefulness and the ability to live well while spending less.

These projects may look different from one another, but they share the same purpose. I want to leave people feeling a little more encouraged than they did before they found me.

What Inspires Me

I am inspired by love, faith, kindness, nature, old trees, family stories, friendship, humor, memory, and the unexpected beauty found in ordinary days. I am inspired by people who keep going when life is difficult, people who care for others, people who begin again, and people who choose hope.

I also believe that creativity is not reserved for professional artists. It is part of being human. A person can be creative through painting, cooking, writing, gardening, decorating, singing, problem-solving, building a business, raising a family, or simply finding a new way to help someone.

Intuitive Expressionism

When I sculpt, I often begin with a large block of clay and no complete blueprint. I shape, push, pull, add, subtract, and listen for the form that wants to emerge. I may begin with an idea, a feeling, or a few meaningful words, but the finished sculpture becomes its own discovery.

This process is what I call Intuitive Expressionism. It is not about perfection or creating an exact likeness. It is about trusting the creative process and allowing something original to appear. You can learn more about requesting a signed, one-of-a-kind sculpture on the Intuitive Sculpture Commissions page.

Welcome to AmeliaCarrie.com

I created AmeliaCarrie.com as a home for my many ideas, stores, books, creative projects, and reflections. Think of it as a small personal online mall, studio, and library gathered in one place.

You can visit the Store Directory to explore personalized gifts and specialty collections, read Amelia’s Stories to learn how different projects began, explore my sculptures, or ask Amelia for help finding something meaningful.

Thank you for being here. Whether you came looking for a gift, a story, a little encouragement, or an idea that might lead you somewhere new, I hope you find something that speaks to you.

We each have something beautiful to contribute to the world. I am still discovering what I have to give, and I hope you will keep discovering what you have to give, too.
