The Tree of Life, Family We Are (Poem)

The Tree of Life, Family We Are

In the sacred soil of love,
Seeds of kinship find their place—
Roots entwine, both far and above,
The branches of a family’s grace.

Leaves, a whispering canvas green,
Storytellers in their prime.
Swaying to rhythms yet unseen,
Narrating the tales of time.

Bark of wisdom, aged and true,
Scrawled with memories, ever near.
The knots and scars form patterns too,
Of lessons learned from yesteryear.

Father limbs reach out to shade,
Strong and sturdy, resolute.
In their coolness, dreams are made,
And futures find their skyward route.

Mother boughs with fruits abound,
Giver of life, of love, of care.
Nurturing all with a love profound,
Always present, beyond compare.

Sibling branches, knotted, wild,
Entangled in a youthful spree.
Comrades in mischief, reconciled,
Partners for an eternity.

And in the core, a hidden seed—
The promise of tomorrow’s kin.
Another life, another need,
Where new branches will soon begin.

So gather ’round this tree, my dears,
For family we ever are.
In laughter, love, and even tears,
Each a constellation, no single star.

Let this tree of life stand tall,
A testament to family lore.
For one and all, and all for one,
Now and forever, evermore.
