This piece started simply as an exploration of hands. But as the clay took shape something deeper emerged – the way love actually works. It doesn’t demand. It doesn’t perform. It simply reaches up quietly and holds.

We are all, at our most vulnerable, just hoping someone will reach up and hold us.

Hands are one of the oldest symbols of care, and I love how this white clay sculpture says so much without a single word. The three reaching hands could be parents, friends, a faith community or a family coming together, and the heart in the palm reminds us what holds it all together. It looks beautiful on a mantel, nightstand or office shelf where it can quietly remind you that you are supported and loved. Like all my work, it was hand sculpted from a single block of clay without a plan, so it is completely one of a kind.
