Owls have long been symbols of wisdom, insight and protection, and in this sculpture the owl and the tree are one and the same. The swirling textures and open spaces give it a sense of motion, as if the owl could take flight at any moment, and those big eyes seem to follow you around the room. It is a wonderful piece for owl collectors, bird lovers, teachers and anyone drawn to nature and wildlife art. Hand sculpted from clay through my Intuitive Expressionism process, it is a one of a kind original. It makes a memorable gift for a graduate, a teacher or a wise friend.
