Everyone scrambling over each other to reach a crown of flames.
Chasing something that will only burn them.
A sculpture about greed, ambition and the endless human struggle to reach the top — without stopping to ask if the top is even worth reaching.
The irony? I made it gold.
Hand sculpted original. One of a kind.
The gold finish is what draws people in first, and then they notice all the figures reaching and climbing toward the crown. It is a wonderful conversation piece because everyone sees something different in it, whether it is ambition, success, the corporate ladder or simply a reminder to enjoy the view along the way. I sculpted it by hand from a single block of clay without a plan, letting the climbers appear one by one. It makes a memorable gift for a business owner, a new graduate or anyone who loves art with a message, and it looks especially striking on a desk or shelf in good light.
