Send a little encouragement to someone who is recovering, resting or simply having a difficult stretch. The RX Mugs collection includes cheerful and customizable get-well designs for patients, friends and family members who could use a reminder that someone is thinking about them.
Choosing a Thoughtful Get Well Gift
The best get-well gift depends on the person and situation. A funny design may brighten the day of someone who enjoys humor, while a simple encouraging message may be better for someone who needs comfort. Personalize the gift when possible, and pair it with a short note that feels natural for your relationship.
Get Well Soon Gifts With a Smile
Many of the designs in this collection look like a prescription label, with an Rx symbol and “Get Well” written right where the medicine name would go. It is a playful way to send a dose of cheer. There are also softer, comforting designs with flowers and greenery for someone who would rather have something gentle and pretty.
Get Well Gift Ideas by Situation
- After surgery: a mug for tea or broth during a slow recovery at home, along with a note that you will stop by when they are ready for visitors.
- A cold or flu: something lighthearted, since they will be back on their feet soon.
- A long illness or treatment: choose comfort over jokes, and plan to check in more than once.
- A coworker out on leave: a gift the whole team signs a card for, so they know they are missed.
- A child who is sick: something bright and fun, plus a little treat for the tired parents too.
Make the Gift a Little Care Package
A mug becomes a care package when you fill it. Tuck in a few tea bags, a packet of soup, honey sticks, lip balm, a puzzle book or a good paperback. If they are in the hospital, check the rules first, since some units do not allow flowers or outside food. And if you are not sure what to say on the card, I put together some ideas for what to write in a get well card.
